Para-planner and Administrator

Whilst studying for my Psychology degree at the University of West London, I joined Lloyds Banking Group as a Customer Service Advisor, which is where my interest in finance and mortgages first started.

After graduating in 2015, I was looking for a new challenge where I could follow my aspirations of working in finance, so I joined Alexander Hall as a Mortgage Administrator in October 2015. Following my initial induction training, and subsequent on-the-job training, I was promoted to Senior Administrator where I enjoyed the challenge of taking on more responsibility within the department.

In October 2018, I was promoted to the Paraplanner role where I work closely with four of our senior advisers, providing them with support throughout their client’s mortgage applications, as well as providing administrative assistance to two further advisers.

I am finding my role as a Paraplanner extremely rewarding as there is no such thing as a ‘typical day’. The broad spectrum of lenders I deal with means there is always new processes to learn. It is a role which provides great satisfaction, working closely with the advisers to ensure our clients’ applications run as smoothly and as stress-free as possible from the beginning of the mortgage process right through to completion.

Alexander Hall has given me an excellent opportunity to follow my chosen career path and the support and training I have received along the way has been much appreciated.
