The cost of moving home

Your mortgage repayments are not the only costs involved in buying a new home.

There are a number of other factors to consider including the lender's valuation fee and your own survey, plus buildings and contents insurance.

The estate agent will charge you for selling your home - how much exactly depends on which company you use.

On top of these costs you will need to pay the removals company and it is likely you will need money to pay for furniture and furnishings once you have moved in.

Below is a list which will help you calculate some of the additional costs associated with moving home.
