Credit problem case studies

Here are some examples of how Alexander Hall have helped other non-conforming borrowers.

Light Adverse

A couple, who were both first-time buyers with a 5% deposit, needed 4.2 times their joint income. One of them had a default of £1,013 registered in December 2002 and had missed a couple of credit card payments in the last year. The couple were rejected by Abbey, C&G and Standard Life. They required 95% of £170,000, however, Alexander Hall arranged this through First National.

Medium Adverse

A client required a 90% remortgage as they had a CCJ of £1,500 which was unsatisfied, they had one missed mortgage payment and numerous missed payments on their unsecured credit. At the time they were with Abbey who declined their application for a remortgage. Alexander Hall put together a loan of £144,000 against a property of £160,000 with GMAC.

Heavy Adverse

A client needed to remortgage for £127,000 in order to pay off £47,000 in CCJs registered in 2004 and £30,000 in defaults registered within the last three years. In addition, they required £50,000 for an extension and home improvements. Alexander Hall managed to secure them a mortgage with Kensington.
