Tom Davies, Mortgage Adviser

After graduating from the University of Leeds in 2005 I returned home to London with the intention of finding work in order to clear my student loan! At a very early stage of looking for a job a good friend of mine recommended Alexander Hall. He spoke highly of the energetic and enthusiastic work environment, the enjoyment he got from his role and the fantastic career opportunities available. Needless to say I did not need a great deal more convincing and very soon I had completed the interview process and was on my way to Headquarters to begin my training.

After a thorough training programme and successfully completing the CeMap examination, my first role was at the Alexander Hall City office. As soon as I stepped foot in the office I was amazed at the working culture and huge team spirit which has resulted in a very enjoyable and gratifying role. One of the most rewarding aspects of being an Independent Mortgage Adviser is meeting new clients on a day-to-day basis, all of whom are unique in their financial circumstances and thus require their own bespoke solution. Ultimately the satisfaction comes with educating clients on the mortgage process and assisting them in making the right decisions in what is a significant part of their financial life planning.

Alexander Hall offers huge scope for individual career progression and success. The rewards for hard work are second to none; I've been on trips from Chamonix to Malta, enjoyed fine dining at numerous venues and attended various sporting events. Now managing my own team of brokers, there are new goals to be achieved in the progression and success of my peers as well as myself - a challenge I'm relishing.
