Inside Story

I graduated from Leeds University in Summer '98 with a BEng Hons in Civil Engineering. Having gained employment on the graduate scheme of an international building & engineering contractor, I completed six months of the course before deciding that a career in civil engineering wasn't for me.

I then decided to travel the world for one and a half years, during which time I gained employment in direct sales for a marketing company in Sydney promoting a telecommunications company. This gave me my first sales exposure. When returning to the UK in April 2001, I applied to Foxtons during which time I increased my sales exposure in residential sales and lettings. This role brought me into contact with Alexander Hall and I soon decided this was the direction I wanted to go in.

I became the first person that Alexander Hall was to take on with no previous experience, with the intention of becoming an adviser. After spending six months in the Client Services team - booking appointments and completing my CeMap qualification - I was in a position to start advising in July 2003. Since then I have hit many incentive trips visiting Sun City in South Africa and Prague, as well as going snowboarding twice for the weekend. I have also become a member of the prestigious Rare Club and am currently the number two Adviser in the company.
